Recycled Teak Wood
Midyan group is a pioneer in the field of construction in recycled Teak wood. Modern Teak forestry production methods produce timber that is cut down at a young age. This has a detrimental effect on the strength, resilience and quality of the wood. In Midyan our focus is on recycled Teak, mature trees that were cut down 100-200 years ago. In this way we are able to obtain a much higher quality of timber with high resistance to termites and other insects and the effects of weather and atmospheric conditions. In addition we have found that the most beautiful and richly colored wood comes from these old trees. The wood is gathered around the east from salvaged houses, warehouses, temples, ships, bridges and railways tracks. After dismantling the wood is transported to our workshops where it is reprocessed into the raw material for any project that you can imagine. Floors, ceilings, panels and kitchens, functional furniture and outdoor and indoor installations. In recent years, global awareness of the need to preserve natural resources on the planet has increased and we are particularly proud of our choice to embrace recycling and reuse while picking the most high-quality material we can find.
